Jon-Michael washington, MBA

Jon-Michael is the Founder and CEO of Polished 2 Perfection. He received most of his experience conceptualizing, coordinating, and executing events on the campus of Howard University. Inspired by his parents' entrepreneurship, Jon-Michael started Polished 2 Perfection after much thought and prayer. 

He had the privilege to coordinate a major pageant and coach numerous contestants for three consecutive years on the campus of Howard University. He was able to combine his passions for event design and coordination and pageant training. 

Jon-Michael has planned and executed many events in the Washington, DC area, including networking events, corporate orientation programs, birthdays, community awareness programs, and large and small social gatherings. He's now ready to bring his skills and talents to the DMV area under his own brand!

chelsea p. mcKenzie 

Chelsea is the Executive Event Planner at Polished 2 Perfection. A native of Southern Maryland, she has always had a passion for event coordination. Chelsea started her career as an event manager for her family's catering company, where she was able to use her creativity and unique perspective to help coordinate various weddings, parties, and corporate meetings.

During her academic career at the University of Maryland, she was involved in diverse student organizations where she took the lead in planning numerous meetings, community service events, cultural shows, and concerts. Upon receiving her Bachelors degree in Economics in 2012, she worked as in intern for a wedding planning company where she kept the company abreast of the newest trends in the industry, ensuring that her client's events were unforgettable.

Chelsea's enthusiasm, passion for exceptional service, creativity, and eye for modern sophistication, make her a great addition to the Polished 2 Perfection team.


phoebe moore

Phoebe is the Special Projects Intern of Polished 2 Perfection. She is currently a communications student at Howard University. In her 3 years, she has planned numerous events for her various organizations, her friends, and for the Bison community. She has been extremely blessed and thankful for the opportunity to bring her passion to the Polished team.

She has had the honor of serving on the 2016 Howard University BLUEPRINT Homecoming steering committee in her Junior year as well as chair the 19th Annual Bison Ball and Excellence Awards gala, an event that celebrates the accomplishments of the students, organizations, administrators, and alumni each year. She is also the Co-Partner and Project Manager of a new, exciting firm FVCUS Designs.

Phoebe has been involved in planning special events since her high school days in Nashville, Tennessee. She has always enjoyed seeing the impact a vision made real has on others’ lives and hopes to continue to do so after she earns her Bachelor’s Degree and J.D!
